Product Development
No matter whether your project is large or small, industrial or consumer products, we are here for you. Whether you need a scaled down 3d model or actual full size prototype for proof of concept let our team assist you in producing your next project. Starting with your design criteria our creative team members will generate working models and drawings that are engineered for your success.
Product Integration
Product integration is the key essential in communicating and implementing your deliverables is accurate through the design process and into manufacturing. We can setup a team on or offsite whatever suits your needs. The team lead is the focal point and will ensure the project process is well communicated back to your company continually reporting status to ensure a successful implementation.
3D Modeling and Model Conversion
3D modeling is our specialty; whether simple details, precision sheet metal, castings, forgings, machinings, electrical components, assembly models, and major assemblies. All of our models are created using parametric technology; which are then easily changed downstream when changes become necessary. We currently model using Catia V5, Solid Works, and PRO-E. When you need models converted from other platforms to such as Pro-E to Catia or Solid Works we can convert them accurately and very quickly.
Engineering Drawings
The detail drawing is the final and most important part of the design process. This is where the drawing must be clear and precise to avoid costly mistakes in manufacturing. Any misinterpretation or inaccuracies can cost your company plenty downstream whether its rework or part scrap and thus slip in schedule. Our design staff understands this and makes certain all downstream users will be able to clearly understand the drawing. This includes the creation of assembly drawings as well as Bill of Material documents. We follow the latest with ASME Y14.100 Standard Engineering Drawing Practices and apply geometric tolerancing per ASME Y14.5M -1994 practices when required. Types of drawing service available: All types of mechanical drawings from details to major assembly or installation drawings. Other types of drawings include schematic drawing, exploded view drawings which are excellent for assembly presentation and drawing trees.
3D Model & Drawing Checking
When you are short staffed and need your drawings and 3D models checked to industry and Company standards; send them to us and we will accurately check your drawings and models to industry and your company standards. Precision and clarity being the foremost of any drawing for manufacturing to avoid misinterpretation we deliver with consistency. Your company’s image relies heavily on this and we want to help ensure it is preserved eliminating costly errors and misinterpretation.
Engineering Outsource Management
In today’s ever-changing and competitive market you need high turnaround with your engineering documentation. When your company is short of technical people this is where we come in. We have an office set-up in India with qualified and talented engineering technical staffing. Our quick turnaround makes our pricing the most competitive in the market place. Let us show you our successful process in making this a successful process for your company adding to your bottom line.
Manufacturing Process and Maintenance Manuals in 3D Assembly
We can create your company manufacturing assembly process or maintenance manual procedures utilizing 3D assembly procedures. The technology will improve knowledge transfer and training effectiveness by increasing productivity and reducing errors. This ultimately will reduce time to global product rollout. The process can be utilized to reduce costly production errors thus reducing development costs.
Tolerance Stack Ups
We understand at ADV3DS that quality costs your organization money and this is where we pay attention to detail. Before you start cutting metal we can perform tolerance stack-ups to ensure there won’t be a problem down stream. In today’s market we know it is important to bring your product to market quickly. Many company’s are rushed to get their engineering released and are understaffed thus sometimes sacrificing a thorough and complete tolerance study of the assembled components. This can be costly in the end. It is statistically known that errors in parts after manufacture add cost astronomically. When parts are made in error or actually engineered in error they go through MRB process (material review board). Can the parts be salvaged and at what cost? Does engineering need to be revised (usually not known until root cause is assessed) and at what cost? It all comes down to loss at your company’s bottom line. This is where we can help. When the rubber meets the road you need to ensure it won’t cost you any more than planned. Protect your profits and company’s image. We will review your product and give a complete stack up with a spreadsheet based on the design intent. We will highlight the problem areas and can suggest where these parts need modifications. We will suggest where changes are necessary to avoid any problems.
This process can literally save you thousands of dollars upfront. Fully adverse in ASME Y14.5M-1994 our approach is simple. We start with the 3d model which we consider the perfect part. Now in the real world this is not true because manufacturing will have to deviate. This is the tolerance and some modelers do not consider this when they model it. The amount of tolerance should be maximized if possible but controlled. When this occurs you have parts that will fit together every time.
FT & A (Functional Tolerance and Annotation)
If your company is with state of the art and does not use a drawing system we can enhance complete your models by applying FT&A. |
